Message from the Founder
Dear Friends and Partners,
It gives me great joy to share with you the progress of Grace Girls Coalition (GGC). Over the past months, we have witnessed inspiring transformations among our girls in Nyagatare and Musanze Districts. From graduations to business start-ups, our mission to empower, educate, and elevate continues to bring hope and opportunities. Thank you for being part of this journey. “ Grace Uwingabire”
21 Girls completed our recent Girls’ Camp in Rukomo-Nyagatare
Twenty-one girls from Rukomo Sector, Nyagatare District, have successfully completed
the GGC Girls Camp and are now beginning a six-month vocational training program
at Umutara Deaf School. It was truly heartwarming to witness their growth, courage,
and transformation into remarkable young women. We wish them all the very best on
this exciting journey!
28 Girls from Musanze are undergoing vocational training - 6 months
Following the successful Musanze Girls Camp, the 28 participants are now excelling in
their vocational training. As they enter their fourth month, these young women are
demonstrating remarkable dedication and progress, taking confident steps toward
building their skills and shaping a brighter future

Impact: Business startup in Nyagatare, Mimuli -Opening of Sunflower Salon & Fashion
18 girls from Mimuli have successfully completed their vocational training and have
formed two cooperatives: Sunflower Salon and Sunflower Fashion. With seed capital
support from GGC, they have successfully launched their businesses.
The enterprises are now up and running, and the girls have started earning their own
income, taking confident steps toward financial independence
Beneficiary Spotlight - Belyse

Not long ago, Belyse’s dreams seemed lost. After dropping out of school due to early
pregnancy and poverty she felt hopeless, believing her future had ended. But everything
changed when she joined the Grace Girls Coalition.
At GGC, Belyse discovered not just a skill, but a renewed sense of purpose. She trained in hairdressing, gained confidence, and joined the Mimuli Salon Cooperative, where she now
earns an income to support her family.
Her journey didn’t stop there. With passion and determination, Belyse has risen to become a
leader of both the Fashion and Salon cooperatives. Her leadership, courage, and tireless work inspire other girls to believe in themselves and dream again.
Today, Belyse is no longer the girl who thought her future had ended, she is a young, strong
leader with a bright future, proving that with the right support, no setback can define a girl’s
destiny.

A note from Mutoniwase Letitia - Program Coordinator Volunteer at GGC
From the very first day we met our girls in Musanze, Mimuli, and Rukomo, I have witnessed an incredible journey of growth and transformation. From Girls Camps to vocational training and now launching
their businesses, they have shown immense
courage, perseverance, and commitment. Along the way, they faced challenges, stepped out of their comfort zones, and discovered strengths they didn’t
know they had. Seeing them grow into confident, skilled young women and successfully start their businesses fills me with pride and hope for all they
will achieve.
