From Learners to Leaders: GGC Alumnae Opening Doors for the Next Generation 🌻

Our girls who recently completed their 6 months of practical training at ETEFOP Musanze are now entering the final stage before graduation, a one-month internship.

And what a special moment this is… now that GGC alumnae have become business owners, we no longer have to struggle searching for internship placements.

Sunflower Elegant Fashion Cooperative proudly opened its doors to welcome their young sisters for internship and mentorship. What joy! The future is bright.

Patience, the Leader of Sunflower Elegant Cooperative, shared:

“We are very happy to welcome our young sisters, teach them, and guide them during this one month. I remember after our own 6 months training, we struggled to find the right place for internship. I am glad our young sisters do not have to go through the same challenge. It is our honor to teach them.”

Sumaya, the Head of Class for the internship group, said:

“I am so happy to meet our GGC older sisters and see how they transformed the skills they learned into real businesses. I couldn’t believe they have such a beautiful workplace and are generating income using their skills. This gives us so much hope and excitement because soon we too are entering the business world! We are going to use this one month well and learn as much as possible from our older sisters, because after this internship, with GGC support, we will begin our own businesses. I am so excited.”
