A journey of resilience, empowerment, and transformation with Grace Girls
Coalition (GGC)
When Grace Girls Coalition (GGC) first met the young women of Mimuli Sector in
Nyagatare, they carried heavy stories of sadness and uncertainty. Many had no hope
for the future. Sitting with them one by one, listening to their journeys, was
heartbreaking, but it also became the first step toward transformation.
The First Camp – Road to Dreams
Our very first GGC Camp gave them more than just skills; it gave them a new vision.
For the first time, they began to dream again. Soon after, they joined vocational training at CEB Mimuli, where they gained practical skills in tailoring and
hairdressing
From Learning to Earning
Today, their lives tell a new story. These young women have:
Started their own cooperative businesses under Sunflower Salon & Fashion
Begun earning income and gaining financial independence
Taken responsibility at home, some are already paying school fees for their siblings, while others support their families in daily needs
This transformation is not just theirs, it is ours too. It shows the power of
mentorship, opportunity, and resilience.
A Future Full of Promise
At GGC, our greatest joy is seeing these girls step into a brighter future with courage
and determination. Mimuli was just the beginning, the future is full of promise, and
we cannot wait to see where their dreams take them.
