In the heart of Mimuli Sector, Nyagatare, something powerful is unfolding. For the next two weeks, young girls from different backgrounds have come together for the Grace Girls Coalition (GGC) Camp, ready to learn, grow, and step into their full potential.
The journey began with excitement, curiosity, and a sense of belonging as the girls arrived at camp. You could feel the energy in the air new friendships forming, smiles exchanged, and a shared anticipation of what lies ahead.

Setting the Tone for an Unforgettable Experience
Day one was all about preparing our girls for a life-changing journey. From the moment they stepped in, every detail was designed to make them feel welcomed, valued, and ready.
The girls received their camp uniforms, creating a sense of unity and pride, as well as essential learning materials that will guide them throughout the program. They were also provided with hygiene products, reinforcing the importance of self-care, dignity, and confidence.
But beyond the items, it was the atmosphere that stood out. A warm welcome session brought everyone together, setting the tone for openness, connection, and growth. It wasn’t just an introduction, it was the beginning of a sisterhood.

What’s in Store? A Journey of Learning and Empowerment
The camp officially kicked off with an introduction to the key courses that will shape the girls’ experience over the next two weeks:
Entrepreneurship – equipping them with practical skills to think creatively, solve problems, and build their own opportunities.
English – strengthening communication skills and confidence to express themselves in a global language.
Social Studies – helping them better understand their communities, identity, and the world around them.
Each course is more than just a subject, it’s a tool for empowerment.
This is not just a two-week program. It’s a safe space where girls are encouraged to dream bigger, speak louder, and believe in themselves. It’s where skills meet confidence, and learning turns into real-life possibilities.
As the days unfold, one thing is certain: this camp is shaping a generation of confident, capable, and purpose-driven young women.
And this is just the beginning.
